What you will learn during this master class:

  • How to establish a cover crop plan for field crops that is adaptable to different climates and realities: learn about best blends or combination of cover crops, seeding rates, implementation methods, how to measure their impact in terms of fertilization and also economically and how to ensure diversity.
  • Hemp production: what’s the potential and what are the barriers? Learn about innovations in the hemp industry and about crop rotation with hemp.

 

 

 

Living Soils Symposium Opening Night

Join us at the Living Soils Symposium opening night with author and geologist David Montgomery.

The Living Soils Symposium is a four-day bilingual event that will take place at Marché Bonsecours Market from March 18-21, 2020. The event will bring together more than 600 participants, including farmers, agronomists, agri-consulting clubs, scientists and researchers, students, activists, agri-food companies, non-profit representatives, government representatives, investors, media and engaged citizens.

The event will facilitate interdisciplinary discussions on the regeneration of soil health, including scientific, practical, economic, political and social perspectives, focusing on promoting food security, mitigating climate change, clean water sources and human health.
